New recruits Sam Kerridge, Lewis Johnston, Tom Lynch, Josh Jenkins, Tim McIntyre, and untried second-year players Jarryd Lyons and Sam Shaw have been included in the Crows’ 33-man squad to play Carlton and Port Adelaide in the opening round of the NAB Cup at AAMI Stadium on Sunday.

Kerridge, McIntyre, Lyons and Shaw could make their AFL pre-season debuts, while Johnston, Lynch and Jenkins are in line to play their first games for Adelaide since being traded to the Club in last October’s AFL exchange period.

A strong-bodied midfielder, 18-year-old Kerridge was selected with the Crows’ first pick (No.27 overall) in the 2011 AFL Draft, while mature-age Sturt goalkicker Tim McIntyre, 22, joined the Club via pick No.41 in last year’s AFL Rookie Draft.

Lyons, 19, and Shaw, 20, were drafted by Adelaide in the national draft the year prior.

Jason Porplyzia (corked calf) and Brodie Martin (hamstring) were left out of the near- full strength squad, but are expected to be available for selection against the Brisbane Lions in Alice Springs next weekend.

Chris Knights, who has a minor hamstring injury, will join Porplyzia, Martin and Rutten (plantar fascia) on the sidelines on Sunday.
