Defender Will Young is out of Norwood’s finals campaign after fracturing the fibula just above his right ankle in the SANFL second semi-final on Sunday.

Young, who had collected 14 possessions in a strong start to the game, was forced off in the second quarter after he was injured in a tackle.

It is uncertain at this stage how long Young will be sidelined. The 21-year-old made his AFL debut last year and played two games.

Crows rookie Ian Callinan will be chasing his fifth consecutive SANFL premiership with Central District. He was one of the best for the Bulldogs on Sunday, kicking three goals from 21 possessions as Central cruised to a 44-point win over Norwood to book a spot in its 12th consecutive grand final.

Luke Thompson played as a forward for the Eagles as they kept their season alive with a 70-point win over South Adelaide in the first semi-final.

Thompson kicked two goals from eight possessions and will be back at AAMI Stadium next week for the preliminary final clash against Norwood.
