What’s your home town, and where is it?

Dangerfield: Moggs Creek. It’s about 15 minutes from Lorne and 45 minutes from Geelong.

Nearby Lorne is a popular beach tourist town on the Great Ocean Road.

Anything interesting or weird about the town?

It was voted the greatest place on earth, by people in the know!

Any famous people from there?

James Tomkins (one of the original members of Australia’s Oarsome Foursome rowers) has a house down there.

What’s the local footy team?

Aireys Inlet, which is only a few minutes away from Moggs Creek, now has a team. But I played for Anglesea (15 minutes away). James and Chris Gowans (St Kilda and Central District) also played footy there.

Best place to eat?

Mr and Mrs Dangerfield’s

Has it produced any other AFL footballers?

Jack Steven (St Kilda) is from Lorne and we grew up together.

What would you recommend to any tourist?

Stay away! God’s Country is hard to get into.

There are 12 Dangerfields still living in the town.

There is no shop in the town but Aireys Inlet is nearby.

The Great Ocean Road runs through the middle of Moggs Creek.
