Lawson Nourse or ”little sauce” as he is known to friends and family, has always wanted to meet “big Sauce”.
The three-year-old always talks about Sam Jacobs (Sauce) and how he shares a nickname and hair colour with the Crows red headed ruckman.
And today he finally met “Big Sauce” after training on the eve of the Crows kids themed round.
At this Sunday’s AAMI Stadium match against Geelong, the Crows are recognising the amazing support by their junior members and supporters.
The Crows are offering free junior tickets to the home match plus a free Crows flag and free junior shed entry. Go to www.afc.com.au/tickets to get your free tickets.
Young Lawson is the great grandson of the late Norm Fisk who was the Clubs’ inaugural doorman from 1991-2005.
Lawson’s five-year-old cousin Harry Rennie, from Moonta, was also at training today to meet his idol and look-alike no 9 Rory Sloane. Sloane came off the track and immediately made a beeline for young Harry to compare their golden locks.
There is football pedigree in Harry’s blood with his paternal great grandfather Les Rennie playing for Essendon in the 1930s.
