The South Australian Football Commission has confirmed the appointment of Kate Gould to the Adelaide Football Club Board.
Kate will replace Nigel Smart who has joined the Club in the fulltime position of Chief Operating Officer.
Chairman Rob Chapman said he was absolutely delighted that Kate had accepted the position on the Adelaide Football Club Board.
“We sought Kate’s experience and skillset out over 12 months ago when she initially joined our Finance and Audit Committee and that blend of experience and skill will certainly be valued in our Football Club.”
Kate joins the Club after working as a member of the Adelaide Football Club Finance and Audit Committee for the past 12 months. Kate was a Telstra Business Women’s Award Winner (SA) in 2009, was the Chief Executive of the Adelaide Festival for over nine years (2002- March 2012) and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Gould is currently the managing owner and Director of Our Body Corp.
Jim Hazel, who joined the Board in 2010, has also been newly appointed as Deputy Chairman taking over from Nigel Smart.
