With the NAB Cup competition fast approaching it’s time to take a look at which Crows players you might consider selecting in your 2013 Dream Team.
Most expensive
Scott Thompson (MID) $541,200
Patrick Dangerfield (MID) $525,000
Rory Sloane (MID) $470,100
Sam Jacobs (RUCK) $449,900
Taylor Walker (FWD) $448,900
You won’t be disappointed if you select one of Adelaide’s premium DT player’s in 2013. Scott Thompson led the way for the Crows in 2012, finishing as the 8th highest point scorer in the Dream Team competition.
Dangerfield enjoyed a break out DT year averaging 101.91 points per game and subsequently went up a massive $161,400 in value last season. It’s worth noting that Danger is no longer a dual position player, but is still a must pick in your midfield.
Sloane, Jacobs and Walker have all jumped up in price in 2013, but they are core members of the Crows line-up and are sure to post big numbers. You’ll get what you pay for…
Luke Brown (DEF) $147,700
Brad Crouch (MID) $108,500
Sam Kerridge (MID/FWD) $108,500
Jarryd Lyons (MID/FWD) $185,500
Aidan Riley (MID) $229,800
The Crows have a solid crop of young improving midfielders who will be pushing hard to break into Adelaide’s regular 22 in 2013. Brenton Sanderson has challenged his young players to stand up and take someone’s spot this season.
Luke Brown, Sam Kerridge and Jarryd Lyons all made their AFL debuts for the Crows in 2012, while Aidan Riley showed some fantastic form when he featured late in the season.
The highly rated Crouch was secured by the Crows in the 2011 mini-draft and spent his first year on the Club’s list training and playing in the SANFL as an ‘underage’ player. At $108,500 he’s a bargain and is set to rise significantly in value.
