Forward Tom Lynch, who missed the win over the Demons, will have foot surgery this week.

Coach Brenton Sanderson said Lynch would have surgery to helpalleviate a “nasty bursa” in his foot.

“Lynchy’s been having pain-killing injections for the pastfew weeks,” Sanderson said.

“He’s got a really unusual running gait, he really stomps andit puts pressure through his foot.

“Tom flew to Melbourne on Thursday and after consultationwith a specialist, it was decided the best course of action for Tom and thefooty club was to put him in for surgery now. He’ll miss about eight weeks ofrunning, which means we get him back at the start of the pre-season.”

Young onballer Brodie Martin (ankle) could return in the SANFL this weekend, but defender Luke Thompson is likely to miss another week with an ankle complaint.

The Crows will hold an open training session on Max Basheer on Friday from about 10:00am.
