The date has been set … Crows forward Taylor Walker will lose his famous mullet when he appears on The Footy Show as a panellist next Thursday night (July 4).

‘Tex’ promised to shave off his trademark hairstyle if he could raise $50,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave in the ‘Mullet Over’ campaign. Tex has now raised more than $64,000, making him the highest Greatest Shave fundraiser in South Australia and ninth-highest Australia-wide.

The Leukaemia Foundation visited the Club on Wednesday to present Tex with a World’s Greatest Shave National Award for his fundraising efforts. His inspiration for this campaign, Lily Block, aged four years-old, came in to help present the award. However, Lily was a little camera shy. Whilst, she was happy to sit on Tex’s lap for a cuddle ... would not open her eyes!

Taylor met Lily earlier this year through his work with the Crows Foundation.
