The Crows have finalised the team to play Carlton at AAMI Stadium on Friday night.
Sam Kerridge, Shaun McKernan and Andy Otten have been left out of the 24-man team. Graham Johncock, Sam Shaw and Brodie Martin will start as substitutes.
On Thursday, Jared Petrenko (shoulder) and Shaw (knee) were recalled to play their first games of the year. Rory Sloane, Daniel Talia and Ian Callinan have also been recalled after sitting out the clash with Geelong.
Aidan Riley and Tom Lynch were squeezed out of the squad. Coach Brenton Sanderson said Riley and Lynch would play trials with their SANFL clubs.
“Aidan Riley was subbed out last week, and Lynchy has been a sub the past two weeks. Sturt and Glenelg both have trial games, so they’ll play full games for their SANFL clubs. Both guys have had great summers, but we want them to get some game time now,” Sanderson said.
“We need to have a look at Sam Shaw and Jared Petrenko, who haven’t played any matches this pre-season. And Talia, Sloane and Callinan pretty much pick themselves.”
Only two Crows, Brodie Smith (collarbone) and Richard Tambling (back) won’t play any football this weekend.
“Tambling has a lower back strain. He should be right next week, and Brodie we know about,” Sanderson said.
“Otherwise, everyone is available this week. Nick Joyce (groin) is going to play in an internal trial for Woodville-West Torrens, which is good for Joycey because he hasn’t played at all this year either.
“We’ve pretty much got a fit list. Now, we need to get everyone into form.”
The game against Carlton starts at 8:10pm.
