Patrick Dangerfield has been named an All Australian for the second consecutive season.
The game-breaking midfielder/forward was Adelaide’s lone selection in the 2013 All Australian side announced on Monday night. He was selected at half forward.
Dangerfield, 23, ranked fourth at Adelaide in total disposals (466) and also kicked 31 goals to finish second in the Club’s goalkicking.
He ranked fourth in the AFL for centre clearances (59) and hard ball-gets (118), seventh in contested possessions (274) and eighth in inside 50ms (102).He also generated 16 score assists and often went ‘third man up’ in the ruck, winning 48 hit-outs
Dangerfield finished equal third in Adelaide’s Club Champion voting, behind Rory Sloane and Richard Douglas. Douglas was named in the 40-player All Australian squad.
The 2013 All Australian team is led by Geelong skipper Joel Selwood. His former Geelong teammate - and now Gold Coast captain - Gary Ablett has been named vice-captain.
