Matthew Wright and Jarryd Lyons will not play in the SANFL today as Adelaide keeps its selection options open for next Saturday.

Coach Brenton Sanderson said there was no need to risk the midfielders, who are in the mix for the round-12 clash against Richmond at the MCG.

“If they played today, we couldn’t consider them for AFL selection this week after a five-day break between games,” Sanderson said.

Adelaide is almost certain to be without Jared Petrenko (shoulder). David Mackay, kept out of Saturday’s game against Sydney because of a corked hip, will be available.

The Crows have a light training session at Westminster School on Tuesday morning. They will also train on Friday at about 10.30am on Max Basheer Reserve before flying to Melbourne later in the day.
