Adelaide captain Nathan van Berlo has been placed on the Club’s long-term injury list.
Van Berlo, 27, had surgery after rupturing his Achilles tendon in a freak training accident in January. The hard-running midfielder is progressing well in his rehabilitation and is hoping to return to the football field in the latter part of the season.
The Crows are yet to promote a rookie to the senior list in van Berlo’s place.
Adelaide’s rookie-listed players are Charlie Cameron, James Battersby, Alex Spina, Jake Kelly and Jack Osborn.
The Club is also considering placing defender Ricky Henderson on the long-term injury list while he recovers from a fractured ankle. Henderson is also aiming for a late-season return.
