Crows fans have shown they have their eyes on the prize by adding Essendon forward Patrick Ambrose and Sydney ruckman Tom Derickx into Adelaide’s Fan Fantasy side.
The duo added an immediate cash injection of approximately $30,000 into our Fantasy salary cap after replacing Melbourne’s Jay Kennedy-Harris and St Kilda’s Billy Longer.
Ambrose currently has the lowest break even of any forward in AFL Fantasy at -22 points. However, the youngster is currently battling a quad concern after being a late withdrawal in the Bombers win over Carlton last week.
It is a risky strategy in the short term but one that could pay handsome dividends if our Fantasy stars align.
The downgrade of Billy Longer to Tom Derickx was another savvy choice by Crows fans. The former Tiger should hold his spot while Swans’ big men Kurt Tippett (knee tendonitis), Sam Reid (Achilles) and Adam Goodes (knee) continue their rehabilitation on the sidelines.
There were no surprises with the choice for our Fantasy captaincy this week, with Suns’ star Gary Ablett once again the runaway selection.
