Nine SANFL teams, including Adelaide, are still in the hunt for finals action.
A couple of upsets on the first weekend of the split round (14) created some uncertainty in the battle for fifth spot, as well as rankings higher on the table.
Sturt (2nd) and the Eagles (3rd) both lost last weekend and their conquerors West Adelaide and Central District kept their seasons alive.
Adelaide sits in eighth spot with five wins but could jump two spots to be one win behind fifth-placed South if it can overcome Port Adelaide on Saturday.
The Crows then have games against the Eagles, Glenelg, Sturt and Norwood to complete the minor round.
Port had led the competition for most of the season but has lost two of its past three games, to North Adelaide and West Adelaide.
