Crows Eddie Betts and James Podsiadly have been nominated for goal and mark of the year.
Betts has received a nod for his brilliant checkside goal from the boundary in the opening quarter of Adelaide’s win over North Melbourne on Saturday night. Betts believes it’s the best goal he’s kicked.

AFL fans will be given the chance to vote for their favourite mark and goal each week in order to go into the running for the weekly cash prize of $200 and the major cash prize of $5,000 at the end of the season, thanks to Lifebroker and Hungry Jack’s.
Weekly nominees will be selected by the AFL Media editorial team and the weekly winners will be determined by public voting. Voting opens 12pm each round the day after the last game and will close the night before commencement of the next round (exact days of the week may change depending on fixture).
At the conclusion of the home and away season, the All-Australian Selection Committee shall select the three best goals and marks from the 23 weekly selections. The selection will be based on a 5/4/3/2/1 vote given by each member of the selection committee. The top three selections for the Lifebroker Mark of the Year and Hungry Jack’s Goal of the Year will be placed on www.afl.com.au on September 8. The overall winners will be selected by public voting which will close on September 18.
The Lifebroker Mark of the Year and Hungry Jack’s Goal of the Year will be announced prior to the 2014 Toyota AFL Grand Final.
