On the eve of the World Cup Final, more than 800 guests celebrated all things Brazilian at the Adelaide Football Club’s Rio Carnival-themed Gala Ball.
The Shed floor in the Club’s events and training centre was transformed into a sea of South American colour. The host of the evening was the brilliant Shane Jacobson, of ‘Kenny’ fame.
Comedian Frank Woodley also had everyone in stitches and was even joined on stage by Crows Taylor Walker and Brad Crouch for an act that no one in the audience will forget in a hurry! Danca Brazil Entertainment and local band Triplescore kept guests entertained throughout the night.
Adelaide United CEO Michael Petrillo and striker Bruce Djite gave the audience on an insight to Australia’s World Cup campaign. Barcelona FC Football Director Guillerrmo Armon was also a special guest.
The auctioneer for the night, Nathan Casserly from Ouwens Casserly Real Estate, helped raise over in excess of $200,000 for the Club. Special thanks to a large group of generous donors, headed up by Major Partner Toyota, who provided a brand new Rav 4 for the auction.
