Promising rookie Charlie Cameron is in the mix to make his AFL debut against Collingwood after being promoted to Adelaide’s senior list.
Cameron, 19, replaces captain Nathan van Berlo, who is on the long-term injury list, in the senior Crows squad.
Selected with Adelaide’s first pick (No.7 overall) in last year’s AFL Rookie Draft, Cameron has generated plenty of excitement at West Lakes. The lightning-quick and fierce-tackling forward got an early taste of AFL in Adelaide’s opening NAB Challenge match. He’s kicked nine goals in five SANFL games this season, including a bag of four against Glenelg, to be the Club’s leading SANFL goalkicker.
Adelaide’s team to take on Collingwood will be named on afc.com.au at 5:55pm (SA time) Wednesday. It will be followed by our Twitter #crowschat at 7:30pm.
Going to the game on Thursday night? Make sure you’re in your seat by 6:40pm to watch a free ‘mini’ concert by Aussie band, The Potbelleez.
