Adelaide enjoyed its most fruitful Fantasy weekend of the season thanks to Sunday’s demolition of the Lions at the Gabba. Five players cracked the 100-point milestone, led by a career-best score from a Club favourite.

For the second week in a row, midfielder Rory Sloane ($539,801) top-scored for the Crows with a blistering 160 points from 28 possessions, eight marks, two goals and 11 tackles.

Not only was Sloane’s total the best of his career, it was also the biggest score of the season by a Crow, eclipsing Patrick Dangerfield and Scott Thompson’s shared record of 149 points against the Giants and Bombers respectively.

Adelaide’s joint vice-captain is the only Crow to average over 100 points in 2014, and has soared to his highest value since Round Seven with five Fantasy tons in his past six games.

Six goals to Crows spearhead Taylor Walker ($360,562) signalled a welcome return to Fantasy form as ‘Tex’ also produced a season-best score of 122 points.

The two-time Crows leading goalkicker reveled against an under-siege Brisbane backline to finish with 21 possessions and six marks alongside his half dozen in front of the big sticks.

It was Walker’s second-highest Fantasy score of his career, second only to a 148-point effort from Round 22, 2012 against the Demons.

Consistency has been the biggest challenge for the burly forward since his return from a knee reconstruction in Round Nine. But his performance last weekend was a timely reminder of just how dangerous the 24-year-old can be.

Matthew Jaensch ($414,720) continued his breakout season in style with another 118 points against the Lions on Sunday.

Jaensch gathered 25 possessions, five marks, laid seven tackles and snuck forward for a goal on his way to his highest Fantasy total since Round Five.

The neat-kicking defender started 2014 with a bang and was one of the most sought-after backmen in the competition with an average of 105 points through the first five rounds.

The 24-year-old’s Fantasy form tapered-off somewhat through the middle part of the year, but Jaensch now appears to be back to his best, as opponents put more time into fellow rebounding backs Brodie Smith ($405,016) and Ricky Henderson ($374,838).

Jaensch also loves sneaking forward to kick a goal, which would draw no complaints from the 20,309 Fantasy coaches who have him in their side.
