Sam Kerridge is hoping his versatility will help him become a regular in the Crows team this season.
Kerridge has already proven to be an offensive weapon, making headlines with his six-goal match-defining performance against North Melbourne in Round Nine last season. The 20-year-old also recorded 20-plus possession games against West Coast, Melbourne and GWS.
Kerridge’s defensive game is also impressive. He has been entrusted with several defensive roles in his short career, including the tough tagging job on Western Bulldogs skipper Ryan Griffen in Round Four last year. The Mildura-born Crow said he’d made it a focus to develop all areas of his game over the summer.
“I’m happy to play anywhere,” Kerridge told FIVEaa.
“I think that I can be a bit of a swingman when it comes to playing forward, through the midfield and even across the half-back line.
“Kicking goals is a lot more fun, but I’m happy to play anywhere.”

Kerridge, who racked up 16 possessions and kicked a goal against Port Adelaide in the Club's opening NAB Challenge match, said the boys were thrilled to be back into the thick of competition.
“Everyone was excited to get out there and play their first game and put into the practice what the boys have been working on over the last three months over pre-season,” Kerridge said.
“I think everyone really enjoyed getting out there and having a hit out against opposition that aren’t just your own teammates.
“And obviously to come away with a win was outstanding.”
Adelaide took the lead in the opening 30 seconds of the match and never looked back, cruising to a 60-point win over the Power. It was an impressive first-up performance by the Crows, who dominated clearances, inside 50ms and contested possessions.
Despite the 10-goal margin, Kerridge said there were still areas to improve on in the lead-up to the premiership season.
“There a lot of things that we can still tinker with, but we will do that over the next couple of weeks leading into Round One.
“We’ll just keep ticking those boxes in the next couple of weeks.”
Adelaide will travel to Melbourne for the Crows’ next NAB Challenge match against Carlton at Etihad Stadium on Monday, February 24.
