Seven AFL Club Academy players and five Father-Son prospects have been nominated ahead of Monday’s AFL bidding meeting to kick off AFL Trade Period.

Each other club in the competition has the option to bid, in reverse ladder order, for the nominated players.

If a bid is made, the club that nominated the Father-Son or Academy player must use its next available selection in the 2014 NAB AFL National Draft if it wishes to retain its hold on the player.

If a club nominating the Father-Son or Academy player declines to match the selection nominated, the club with the successful bid must use that selection in the Draft to secure the player.

If no bid is made by another club, the club that nominated the Father-Son or Academy eligible player will forfeit its last selection in the NAB AFL Draft to select the player.
