Adelaide’s Fan Fantasy team suffered its first loss of the season last weekend against a rampaging Brisbane.

The stars aligned for the Lions as they upset our Fantasy Crows, posting 2135 points to shade Adelaide’s total of 1996. Brisbane’s score was the biggest in the AFL Fan Fantasy league for Round Six whilst it was the first time this season that our Fantasy team failed to reach the 2000-point mark.

Adelaide’s gritty clash with the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium made a big impact on our Fantasy team, with lower scores from Matthew Jaensch (73), Scott Thompson (68) and Sam Jacobs (71) affecting our total.

Other mediocre performances from many of our quality Fantasy stars including Aaron Sandilands (77), Dustin Martin (71), Jarryd Roughead (70) and Jarrad McVeigh (78) also put us on the back foot against the Lions last week.

Only six players from our side of 22 cracked the Fantasy ton – our side’s lowest number for the year. The loss sees Adelaide slip to third on the Fan Fantasy ladder.

However, it’s not quite panic stations just yet. The Fantasy Crows have scored the most points so far this year in the league and while Brisbane may have won the battle last round, our side is well placed to rebound against a struggling Geelong outfit this weekend. The Cats are last on the Fan Fantasy table and are yet to record a win this season.

Our moves on the trade table for this week include the possible return of an ex-Crow.

After two injury-ravaged seasons, Nathan Bock could be in line for an AFL recall for the Suns.  Bock has played three NEAFL games for Gold Coast’s reserves team and was named second best last weekend. With a tempting price of $135,900, vote below on whether Bock should be on our radar as a cheap downgrade target.

Essendon forward Joe Daniher could be on the chopping block. The burley Bomber’s value has tapered, giving us an opportunity to consider several other players who are scoring well to help us grow our Fantasy coffers.

Also help select our Fantasy captain for the upcoming round.

See our team below and vote on the side’s next moves as Adelaide’s Fan Fantasy team looks to return to the winners list against Geelong in Round Seven.
