The flurry of activity in the lead-up to the NAB AFL Trade Period slowed down a fraction over the past 24 hours.
While free agents Shaun Higgins and Jarrad Waite both appear to be headed to North Melbourne, Kangaroos midfielder Levi Greenwood is staying put.
The Brisbane Lions and Collingwood have a lot of work to do to reach an agreement for unsettled Magpie Dayne Beams, while the Lions are also in no rush to move along defenders Daniel Merrett and Joel Patfull.
Geelong looks like adding another piece to its tall stocks, with Demon Mitch Clark nominating the Cats as his preferred destination.
Higgins another to leave the Kennel
Restricted free agent Shaun Higgins has joined the steady trickle of players leaving the Western Bulldogs, with North Melbourne the most likely club to acquire his services.
Higgins' manager Bruce Kaider told AFL Media the 26-year-old was keen to exercise his free agency rights and the Kangaroos along with another club had shown interest.
Despite the Bulldogs' ability to match any rival offer to retain Higgins, Kaider said he "wanted to continue his career at another club" and expected that wish to be granted.
Higgins joins forward Liam Jones, who has nominated Carlton as his preferred club, and speedster Jason Tutt in wanting out of the Bulldogs.
The Herald Sun has reported Tutt has a deal with another Victorian club brewing and expects to move on in the NAB AFL Trade Period starting next Monday.
Greenwood staying put
He's out of contract and coming off a great season, but North Melbourne midfielder Levi Greenwood is expected to be going nowhere.
Despite attracting some interest from Richmond, AFL Media revealed the 25-year-old is close to re-signing with the Kangaroos.
He had a breakout 2014 season, averaging 25 disposals a game and being a huge reason for the club's surge to a preliminary final.
Jarrad not Waite-ing around
After deciding he wants out of Carlton, enigmatic forward Jarrad Waite is believed to be headed to North Melbourne.
And his soon-to-be former coach Mick Malthouse is fuming.
After telling the Blues on Monday he wanted to exercise his free agency rights, AFL.com.au reported the Kangaroos were leading the race for his services.
However, speaking on FIVEaa on Tuesday, Malthouse said he was disappointed after Waite failed to inform him of his decision despite having dinner at his house last week.
