Adelaide forward Tom Lynch is embracing his elevation to the Club's leadership group, having taken his game to a new level in the past two years.
Lynch is one of the Crows' great success stories since arriving at the club at the end of 2011 after six games in two seasons at St Kilda.
The 26-year-old only managed 31 games in his first three seasons with the Crows before finding his niche as a link-up high half-forward two years ago.
Lynch has played 46 of a possible 48 games in the past two seasons, booting 74 goals and being ranked as the leader in goal assists in the League in 2015.
"It's my sixth year here at the footy club, it's been an indifferent journey, but one I've thoroughly enjoyed and wouldn't change," Lynch said on Tuesday.
"I've been able to improve my football on the field and looking to do so again this year.
"Not much will change for me in this space, I'm hungry to keep improving and be the best player I can be for this football club."
Lynch and champion goal-sneak Eddie Betts are the two additions to the Crows' leadership group, replacing Sam Jacobs, Richard Douglas and the retired Nathan van Berlo.
Taylor Walker retains the captaincy for the third straight year, Rory Sloane has been promoted to vice-captain with Daniel Talia and Scott Thompson rounding out the group.
The Crows are intent on setting high standards to once again be a genuine premiership contender.
"We're a pretty resilient bunch, we're pretty ferociously competitive and we're pretty hungry for success," Lynch said.
"We're all eager to get out there this year and get amongst the real games.
"We've got the JLT to start in a couple weeks for us, but we're pretty enthused when the real stuff starts."
The Crows' first game of the JLT Community Series is against Richmond at Etihad Stadium on Friday, February 24.
Also on the players' agenda are the drawn-out negotiations between the AFL and the AFL Players' Association on a new collective bargaining agreement.
"The players association and the AFL are working through that at the minute and hopefully we can get something resolved as quick as possible," Lynch said.
"I'm sure both parties don't want to be in this situation.
"We're looking for something that is fair for both parties as well, hopefully that's not too far away."
