Crows defender Kyle Hartigan and ruck/forward Billy Frampton have addressed a physical scuffle which took place during a heated training session at West Lakes on Saturday.
The pair came to blows during a competitive match simulation after Frampton retaliated to being held by Hartigan inside forward 50.
“He was holding me a little bit. I just gave him a little one in the guts and it just picked up from there,” Frampton told AFC Media.
“It turns into a bit of a blur when that stuff happens, but it was 10-15 seconds maybe and the boys broke it up.
“Nicksy called us up in front of the group after and we had a bit of a laugh about it, explained what happened and shook hands about it.”
Hartigan said he and Frampton got “a bit carried away” but there was no lingering bad blood between the pair.
“We came together for a couple of blows but shook hands after the game,” Hartigan said.
“It is what it is when that stuff happens, and it’s been happening for years.”
Captain Rory Sloane echoed Hartigan’s sentiments on the highly competitive and heated nature of training.
“It happens at training and we’re in a competitive environment. Guys get heated,” Sloane told reporters on Tuesday afternoon.
“It escalated, no doubt. But the fact that those boys made up straight after that’s what you want.
