Adelaide vice-captain Rory Sloane is in doubt for next Thursday night's Qualifying Final with Greater Western Sydney, but Crows skipper Taylor Walker has declared himself a certain starter.

Walker missed the Crows' Round 23 loss to West Coast with a toe injury, while key defender Daniel Talia (ankle) also sat out the final game of the home and away season.

"The toe was just a little bit sore, but I'm all good now and ready to go," Walker told AFL Media.

"I just needed to take a couple of steps back to go forward.

"Our high-performance staff have done a great job with the list and have got us in a good position to enjoy the opportunity we've created going into the finals."

Walker had a scan on his foot a few weeks ago, but he said that was merely a precaution.

The 27-year-old has had a superb individual season, kicking 49 goals to finish sixth in the race for the Coleman Medal while also leading the League in goal assists with 29.

He was also one of eight Crows selected in the 40-man All Australian squad.

Sloane had his appendix removed on Tuesday, giving the star midfielder just nine days to get himself ready to face the Giants.

Teammate Eddie Betts had the same operation earlier this season, missing one game before returning against Port Adelaide, 13 days after keyhole surgery.

The Crows are minor premiers for the first time since 2005 and will play two finals at Adelaide Oval.

Walker said the Crows were "in a great spot" despite losing their last two games of the home and away season to Sydney and West Coast.

"We've created the opportunity to have two home finals and now all the hard work starts now," Walker said.

"We're in a great position to put our best foot forward and destiny is in our hands as to how far we go."
