Tex says knee is 'getting there'
Star Crow coy on his prospects of returning for round one
The star Crow injured his knee after landing awkwardly in a marking contest against Carlton in April.
However, the 23-year-old wouldn't speculate his chances of being ready to play in time for the start of season 2014.
"We've got a lot of bridges to cross before we get to playing so I'm just looking forward to training really well and doing everything right so... when I come back I'm ready to go," Walker told AFL.com.au.
"I had my six-month check up with the surgeon on Monday and he said it's coming along really well.
"Strength's really good, still trying to work on my power, and up and running and doing a lot of weights and agility."
While his good mate Bernie Vince has moved away, Walker welcomed the recruitment of James Podsiadly and Eddie Betts.
"Really looking forward to playing alongside J-Pod and Eddie Betts, and the forward line starts to look pretty nice," he said.
But asked whether there'd be enough room for everyone in the Crows' new look forward line, Walker responded: "We'll have to wait and see, won't we."
AFL.com.au spoke to Walker just minutes after he conducted an interview of his own with US Masters winner Adam Scott.
You'll be able to watch the unmissable chat between the star Crows forward and the Aussie golfing legend in the coming days on AFL.com.au and AFC.com.au.
