Former Brisbane Lions midfielder Jesse O’Brien will train with the Adelaide Crows this week in the lead-up to the AFL drafts.
O’Brien played two AFL games this year for a total of 17 with the Lions after being recruited from SANFL club North Adelaide at the 2009 national draft.
The 22-year-old won the Andrew Ireland Medal as best afield for Brisbane reserves in its NEAFL grand final win over Sydney in September but was then delisted by the Lions.
GM List Development and Strategy David Noble said: “We’ve seen a fair bit of Jesse this season but this just gives us and the coaches the opportunity to take a closer look.”
Adelaide has picks 23 and 46 in the AFL draft on November 21 and then up to four selections in the November 27 rookie draft.
