It’s Showdown week for Adelaide’s fan-selected Fantasy team as the Fantasy Crows confront Port Adelaide this weekend.

It will be the second time in three weeks that the Fantasy Crows will take on our real-life AFL opponents simultaneously, adding extra importance to Sunday’s Balfours Showdown XXXVII.

Our team trounced West Coast last round with a mammoth score of 2178 to consolidate third position on the AFL Fan Fantasy ladder. It was our biggest total since Round Four in a fantastic weekend for Fantasy coaches across the competition.

Scott Thompson (149) produced a season-best score while Sam Jacobs (112) confirmed his position as the top ruckman in AFL Fantasy this season.

Other outstanding performers included our captain Gary Ablett (137), Fremantle midfielder Michael Barlow (104), Richmond gun Dustin Martin (128) and Magpies skipper Scott Pendlebury (106).

Given Ablett’s blistering form in recent weeks, we will back the little master as our skipper until further notice.

The surprise packet of the round was Brisbane ruckman Stefan Martin (111), who has averaged a score of 103 in his past three rounds. Credit must go to the 19th Man for voting in the Brisbane recruit a fortnight ago. Vote below to decide whether the 27-year-old has done enough to earn a starting position in our team.

For the first time in a number of weeks, our defence is in need of some attention ahead of this week's clash with the fourth-placed Power.

Swan Rhyce Shaw will miss up to three weeks with an ankle injury. The 32-year-old has been one of our best Fantasy performers down back this year, but are we patient enough to hold onto him? It’s your call, 19th Man.

If the polls indicate Shaw will stay in the side, the Fantasy experts here at Crows HQ will make a call on a midfield downgrade for Hawk mid Mitch Hallahan, who hasn’t played since Round 11.

Tom Langdon was concussed in Collingwood’s clash with Hawthorn and could also be in doubt for this weekend. Langdon has been a valuable cash cow and has swelled by over $200k in value this year. But given the circumstances and Langdon's rising break even, it could be a good time to move the young Pie on.

Make your move and vote below, 19th Man. We need your help to ensure the Fantasy Crows topple the Power in this weekend’s Fantasy Showdown.
