Adelaide defender Phil Davis will have shoulder surgery later this week.

His rehabilitation timeframe will not be known until after the operation, when the extent of the damage is clearer.

Davis, 20, dislocated his right shoulder in the second term against St Kilda on Saturday night. He had missed the previous two games after hurting the same shoulder against Fremantle in round three.

Andy Otten, who reported knee soreness late last week, visited his specialist on Monday and will now start a short rehabilitation program. He is expected to miss between one to three weeks.
