Scott Thompson has continued his good run of form at the start of the season with another best on ground performance in round six.

Thompson received nine out of the maximum 10 votes from the coaches, gathering 19 kicks, eight handballs and seven tackles against St Kilda.

Ruckman Sam Jacobs was also one of Adelaide’s best in only his second game for the club receiving seven votes. Jacobs had 33 hitouts and 13 disposals in a strong display in the ruck.

Kurt Tippett’s four goals earned him four votes while young defender Luke Thompson, Richard Douglas and Patrick Dangerfield were also in the votes.

Scott Thompson now leads Adelaide’s votes on 18 with Ben Rutten in second place on 10.

Chris Judd’s performance against Sydney has seen him race to the top of the overall standings on 35, two ahead of Essendon skipper Jobe Watson.
