Crows midfielder Rory Sloane will be out for up to a month after breaking a thumb against Hawthorn on Saturday night.
And Jason Porplyzia will see a specialist early this week to decide the next step in his recovery from a dislocated shoulder.
Sloane, one of Adelaide’s best players in the 20-point win, played out the game but had X-rays on his hand today. He will see a specialist this week.
Porplyzia hurt his right shoulder in the opening minutes of the game, soon after becoming the first Adelaide goalkicker of the season.
“When Jason sees his specialist, they will decide on the next course of action,” said Crows general manger football operations Phil Harper. Porplyzia had a shoulder reconstruction late in the 2008 season.
