Essendon coach Mark Thompson could make a raft of changes ahead of the Bombers’ clash with the Crows on Saturday night.

Thompson’s men sit in ninth position on the AFL ladder – ahead of 10th place Adelaide by percentage only – following the club’s one-point loss to Melbourne last round.

The disappointing defeat to the Demons could see Essendon look to its winning VFL side, which ironically defeated Werribee by a single point on Sunday.

A host of AFL-listed Bombers showed good form in the state league competition.

Leroy Jetta was outstanding and named best afield for the VFL Bombers. Midfielders Travis Colyer and Nick O'Brien also featured amongst the side’s best players.

Utility Jackson Merrett was another AFL regular who starred in the clash at Avalon Airport Oval.

Kyle Hardingham kicked two goals and could be in line for his first AFL game since Round Six. Former Giant Shaun Edwards moved well and also booted a goal to push his case for an AFL berth at his new club.
