Adelaide captain Rory Sloane has labelled former assistant coach Scott Camporeale as “probably the biggest” influence in his career.

Ahead of game No.200, Sloane told Triple M’s The Rush Hour with Bernie & Jars which people came to mind as he reflected on his career.

“Neil Craig, Simon Goodwin the finisher… there’s so many,” Sloane said.

“Scott Camporeale had a massive influence on my career, probably the biggest.

“I spent nine years or so with Campo… I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.”

Sloane will play his 200th behind closed doors at Adelaide Oval on Saturday but assured he would make time to celebrate once normality returned.

“It’s a crazy world we live in at the moment,” he said.

“I’ll delay the celebrations and make sure I catch up with everyone later in the year.”

Looking back, Sloane recalled the most memorable games from his career - including the Grand Final loss in 2017.

“Running out day one, a pocket full of mates from back home who filled the MCG,” Sloane recalled.

“I still remember stepping out on the ground.

“The Grand Final… you dream of playing in a Grand Final, albeit it didn’t go our way.

“And one other sticks to mind, after I signed my last deal and playing against Geelong… hearing the crowd, they’ve been such a big part of my career.”
