Ebony Marinoff has received the ultimate recognition from her peers by being voted the competition’s Most Valuable Player and Best Captain.
The midfielder claimed the player-voted awards at the AFL Players’ Association’s AFLW MVP Awards in Melbourne on Tuesday night.
Marinoff’s predecessor Chelsea Randall was also recognised, being named the AFLW’s Most Courageous for a record sixth time.
The accolades add to a huge month for Marinoff, who was named in the All-Australian team for the seventh time and crowned the 2024 AFLW Best and Fairest at the W Awards on Monday night.
She was also named the 2024 AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year earlier this month.
Since arriving at the Crows in 2017, Marinoff has never missed a game and is the competition’s game record holder with 93.
She was voted Co-Captain of the Club alongside Sarah Allan at the beginning of the 2024 season and thrived in her new position, leading the competition for disposals, tackles, inside 50’s and pressure acts.
It was also a huge season for Randall, who’s stellar campaign led to her earning a fifth All-Australian blazer last night, in addition to the Most Courageous gong.
Randall, who is known for her brave marks and fearless attack on the footy, averaged a career-best 15.9 disposals, 297.9 metres gained and 4.3 tackles this season.
The 32-year-old previously won the Most Courageous award in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022 (Season Seven).
