Adelaide has strengthened its squad ahead of the Round Six clash against the GWS Giants with winger Deni Varnhagen set to play her first game of 2020.

Varnhagen returns seven weeks after injuring her left knee during Adelaide’s trial match against Fremantle in Perth.

Co-captain Erin Phillips has been named in the squad after being withdrawn from the Round Five match due to soreness.

Forward Eloise Jones and utility Najwa Allen have been included after both missed the game in Hobart due to injuries.

All four players need to successfully complete final training on Thursday night before they are named in the final team on Friday afternoon.

Rhiannon Metcalfe and Madison Newman have been omitted from the side.

Adelaide will name its final team of 21 on Friday at 3.30pm ACDT.

The Crows will take on the GWS Giants at 2.40pm ACDT at Hisense Stadium (Richmond Oval) on Sunday.
