Adelaide will wear its clash strip in Friday's Marsh Community Series game against Gold Coast.
Crows Head of Football Adam Kelly said the decision was made in support of a recently adopted initiative regarding the Club guernsey.
"We have made the decision to preserve the right to wear the jumper, the tricolours, for games played in the AFL premiership season and finals only," Kelly said.
"The decision creates a distinction that highlights the prestige and honour there is in representing the Club in a premiership season game.”
