Club: Adelaide
Coach: Matthew Clarke
2019 co-captains: Erin Phillips, Chelsea Randall
2019 best and fairest: Erin Phillips
2019 in a nutshell: After losing their season opener to Western Bulldogs by a point, the Crows went undefeated the rest of the season before destroying Carlton in the Grand Final. It was a dream first season under new coach Matthew Clarke and the club's second premiership in three years, following on from their 2017 triumph.
New players: Najwa Allen, Chelsea Biddell, Nicole Campbell, Caitlin Gould, Courtney Gum, Montana McKinnon, Madison Newman, Jaimi Tabb, Ruth Wallace (inactive in 2019)
Notable departures: Jasmyn Hewett (Gold Coast), Rheanne Lugg (Brisbane), Jenna McCormick (soccer), Sarah Perkins (delisted), Sally Riley (Gold Coast), Katelyn Rosenzweig (delisted), Jessica Sedunary (St Kilda)
Inactive players: Hannah Martin (pictured below), Maisie Nankivell
2020 opponents: Brisbane (a), St Kilda (h), Geelong (a), Carlton (h), North Melbourne (a), GWS (h), Gold Coast (a), Richmond (h).
Circle it: The Crows absolutely toweled up Carlton in the 2019 Grand Final, so the Blues will be motivated for payback when they face off in round four in Adelaide.
Player to watch: Dangerous forward Ruth Wallace will be a welcome addition after taking time away from the game last season. Can change a game off her own boot.
Best Rising Star chance: Nikki Gore
2020 prediction: The Crows will be again among the powerhouse teams in the competition, but a lot will depend on how superstar Erin Phillips and Chloe Scheer recover from their torn ACLs. However, the recent loss of Chelsea Randall to an ACL tear is a huge blow. A favourable draw, including games with newcomers St Kilda, Gold Coast and Richmond, should see the Crows reach the finals.
