All eight of Adelaide’s 2019 draftees will play in a Crows guernsey for the first time in a trial match against the GWS GIANTS on Saturday, January 18 at Richmond Oval.
It will be the first time Crows fans get a chance to see Adelaide’s 2019 first draft pick Montana McKinnon.
She is likely to be sharing ruck duties with fellow draftee Caitlin Gould.
Najwa Allen, Chelsea Biddell, Madison Newman, Nicole Campbell and Jaimi Tabb will also play their first match in the tricolours, while veteran forward Courtney Gum will face her former side for the first time.
Although Hannah Button (nee Martin) will miss the game after tearing her ACL last year, her younger sister Rachelle will feature, alongside Czenya Cavouras - two of the 2020 squad’s train ons.
With a number of experienced Crows set to miss the game, the match presents an opportunity for the side’s new and emerging players to make their mark.
Erin Phillips, Chloe Scheer and Rhiannon Metcalfe are still rehabbing from their ACL injuries, while Ebony Marinoff, Jessica Foley, Marijana Rajcic and Renee Forth are being managed.
Forward Ruth Wallace will also miss the game after taking time away from football for personal reasons.
She will no longer take any part in the 2020 season.
It will be the first time the group plays a game at new home ground Richmond Oval.
Fans will have free entry to the match, with the game starting at 10.30am.
