Adelaide has made two changes ahead of its Anzac Day blockbuster against Fremantle in Perth on Friday.
The Crows will welcome back midfielder James Peatling and forward Josh Rachele, with the pair named in the line-up.
Peatling missed the Round Six win against Greater Western Sydney due to suspension, while Rachele had spent the past three weeks on the sidelines with fractured ribs.
“James had two really strong performances before missing last week, and in these performances he exemplified the footy that led to our eagerness to bring him to the Club,” Adelaide Head of Football Adam Kelly said.
“This was highlighted by his ability to hunt the footy and opposition, take the ball cleanly under pressure and get to the outside of the contest.
“We welcome Josh back off the back of an excellent pre-season, he was in terrific form in the opening rounds and he has been working hard to be ready to go again this week.”
As Crows Senior Coach Matthew Nicks revealed earlier on Thursday, forward Darcy Fogarty has been ruled out of the clash against the Dockers with a shoulder injury.
Sam Berry has been omitted.
Berry, Brayden Cook and Chris Burgess have been named as emergencies.
The Crows’ Anzac Day clash will mark the fourth time the Club has had a game scheduled on the significant date, after lining up on April 25 in 1993, 1999 and 2021.
Kelly said the honour of playing on Anzac Day was not lost on the Club.
“The Fremantle Football Club, through the Len Hall Tribute Game, have a well established history of honouring those who have served at war and in peace keeping efforts,” Kelly said.
“It is our privilege to be their opponent on a day of such National significance.”
The Crows will announce their substitute one hour before the game.
Adelaide faces Fremantle at Optus Stadium, Perth, on Friday, April 25, at 7.40pm (ACST).
The game will be broadcast live on Channel 7 Adelaide, Kayo and Fox Footy.
