The Crows Children’s Foundation is pleased to announce that Kate Thiele has been appointed as the new Chairperson.
Thiele joined the Foundation in 2016, providing guidance and expertise as a not for profit industry leader.
She brings significant governance experience as Chair, Skylight Mental Health and as a board member for Zoos South Australia and the Flinders Foundation.
In 2015, Thiele was recognised as South Australian Business Woman of the Year and was awarded the State and National Telstra Business Woman of the Year Social Enterprise Award.
That year, she was also honoured with a Harvard Club of Australia Fellowship to attend Harvard University.
She is currently the Founding Director for Klarity, a consulting firm who supports Boards, CEOs and leaders in governance, business and leadership development, stakeholder engagement and strategic marketing.
Crows Children’s Foundation Manager Louise McDonald said Thiele’s experience would be an asset for the Foundation as it moves into its next phase.
“Kate’s wealth of knowledge and fresh perspective has been such an asset for the Foundation over the last 3 years,” McDonald said.
“This appointment comes at a time of strategic change in the Foundation and I believe under Kate’s leadership, we will be ideally positioned to deliver brilliant outcomes for children and youth of South Australia well into the future.”
“I look forward to what the Foundation will be able to achieve in 2020 and beyond.”
