Five Crows scored AFL Fantasy centuries in Adelaide's 60-point win over Carlton at the MCG on Sunday, and it was a familiar face who led the way.
Midfielder Rory Sloane recorded his fifth consecutive Fantasy century and was the Club's top Fantasy scorer for the third week in a row. His average of 129 over that three-game period is the second best in the AFL behind only Sydney’s Luke Parker.
Sloane had 34 touches against the Blues, 20 of which were contested, as well as 10 clearances and eight tackles for a Fantasy total of 123.
The hard-nosed midfielder continues to pile on value for coaches, adding another $12,000 for a three-round gain of $40,000.
Four other Crows joined Sloane with Fantasy tons, including defenders Daniel Talia and Rory Laird who both recorded career-high disposal tallies.
Laird, who looks to be in All-Australian form, led all comers on the ground with 35 touches, including 14 contested possessions and four free kicks to amass a Fantasy score of 104.
It was Laird’s third Fantasy ton in his past four games and his season average has now swelled to 96, putting him in the top 10 defenders in the competition.
Talia was right behind his fellow defender and recorded the second AFL Fantasy century of his career (and second this year), amassing 103 points from 29 possessions and seven marks.
Sam Jacobs and Brad Crouch were the final two Fantasy centurions for the Crows, working together for a dominant midfield display.
Crouch recorded his biggest Fantasy total of the season against the Blues and with scores of 87. 92 and 113 over his last three games, he looks to be finding the kind of form that made him a popular choice among coaches back in 2014.
Crouch won 29 possessions against Carlton, including seven tackles and a goal, to pile on $17,000 in value and take a break even of 51 into the Crows’ Round 17 clash with Collingwood.
Feeding taps to Crouch was ruckman Jacobs, who put together his second-best Fantasy performance of 2016.
Jacobs recorded 120 Fantasy points from 36 hit-outs, 15 disposals and five tackles. He also equaled a career-high, kicking three goals.
The Adelaide big man is one of the form ruckmen in the competition and his average of 107.4 over the last five games is second in the AFL behind only Melbourne’s Max Gawn.
Josh Jenkins nearly cracked triple figures himself with three goals, seven marks and 14 disposals, but a total of 98 points was still a solid score for the key forward.
