Adelaide captain Taylor Walker has been charged by the AFL Match Review Officer with misconduct against West Coast’s Luke Shuey following an incident between the pair during the second quarter of the Round 15 game at Adelaide Oval.
Based on the available evidence and a medical report from the West Coast Football Club, the incident was classified as misconduct.
A first offence draws a $2500 sanction, and Walker can accept a $1500 sanction with an early plea.
Shuey's involvement in the incident was not assessed in the full match review statement, while Jack Redden was charged with making careless contact with an umpire and can accept a $1000 sanction.
