The SANFL has named an initial squad of 47 players to contest the AFL National Under-18 Championships from May 23 to July 1 this year.
Seeking to win a third consecutive national title after triumphs in 2013 and 2014, the SA Under-18 team will again be coached by SANFL High Performance Manager Brenton Phillips.
The final squad of 40 will be announced on May 18.
The South Australians will start their six-match campaign against Western Australia in Perth on May 23.
North Adelaide representatives in the squad, with nine, ahead of West Adelaide, Norwood and Glenelg with seven.
