Crows CEO Andrew Fagan made the following statement regarding today’s announcement of the AFL Broadcast Rights Agreement:

“Our Club welcomes the latest broadcast rights deal which reinforces our game is in great shape.

“AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan and his Executive are to be congratulated on securing an extraordinary outcome which will underpin our sport for the foreseeable future.

“It will ensure clubs are strong with the financial security and capacity to enhance core operations as well as work with the AFL to grow the game through balanced investment in key strategic areas, including junior pathways, player development and women’s football to name but a few. 

“We are excited by Thursday night matches remaining an important part of future fixtures, providing the potential to build upon the success of the timeslot at the Adelaide Oval over the past two seasons. 

“This is a very significant day for our industry and we look forward to seeing the benefits flow from grassroots through to the elite level.”
