The NAB Trade Period is ready to explode on Monday as clubs finally get the opportunity to make deals official from 10am.
There has been plenty of talk behind the scenes but little action since the free agency window opened on Friday.
AFL Media's Trade Winds will provide a round-up of the latest movement every morning until the end of the Trade Period on Thursday October 22.
Short move for Howe?
North Melbourne has made a significant bid to lure Melbourne high-flyer Jeremy Howe to the club, according to Channel Seven.
It's been reported that senior coach Brad Scott and football boss Geoff Walsh have led the charge to try and get Howe to Arden street.
As reported on Friday, Howe's manager Ben Niall said the Demon was considering offers from Gold Coast and two rival Melbourne clubs.
Howe is expected to make a decision by the middle of this week.
Future pick for Hendo?
Geelong could acquire wantaway Carlton key-position player Lachie Henderson for nothing - in 2015 at least - according to the Herald Sun.
It was reported on Saturday that the Blues could send Henderson to the Cats without receiving compensation during this year's NAB trade period, but instead be given Geelong's first selection in the 2016 draft.
If correct, it could well be the first time clubs have used a deal involving future draft picks in the AFL.
The move would leave the Blues hanging on Geelong's performance next year, with the pick they receive for Henderson dependent on where the Cats finish on the ladder.
Clubs queue for young Hawk
Channel Seven has also reported that Hawk Jed Anderson has Essendon, North Melbourne, Brisbane Lions, Adelaide and Carlton interested in his services.
West Coast is another club also believed to be keen to lure the speedy Anderson to the club.
A lack of opportunity at senior level has Anderson looking elsewhere and the Hawks have allowed him to speak to other clubs, despite having one year to run on his contract.
"Like any club, we certainly won't be doing anything unless it is right for us," Hawks list manager Graham Wright said.
Giant could become a Crow
Back on the subject of future picks, the Herald Sun is reporting that Greater Western Sydney defender Curtly Hampton looks likely to head to Adelaide for one of their second-round selections next year.
Hampton struggled to play regular senior football for the Giants in 2015 despite some solid form in the NEAFL.
GWS will likely use this year's draft to take some quality players from their academy with youngsters such as Jacob Hopper and Matt Kennedy in their sights.
The Giants used two draft selections on academy players Jack Steele and Jeremy Finlayson in last year's draft and will look to stock up on picks for 2016, which many believe will be a stronger draft.
