Hawthorn defenders Ben Stratton and Josh Gibson have been charged for off-the-ball incidents in the win over Adelaide on Thursday night.
Crows forwards Eddie Betts and Charlie Cameron were both felled within a minute of each other during the first quarter at Adelaide.
Stratton has been charged with striking Eddie Betts and can accept a $1,000 sanction with an early plea. Based on the evidence available, it was the view of the Match Review Panel that the incident should be classified as intentional conduct with low impact to the body.
Gibson has been charged with striking Cameron and can also accept a $1,000 sanction with an early plea. Based on the evidence available, it was the view of the panel the incident should also be classified as intentional conduct with low impact to the body.
Contact between Adelaide captain Taylor Walker and Hawk Sam Mitchell in the second quarter of the match was also assessed, but no further action was taken. It was the panel’s view that Mitchell raised his arm and leg to protect himself and brace for contact, and makes contact with Walker.
