Crows midfielder Richard Douglas has been ruled out of Friday night’s match after being admitted to hospital late Monday night.

Douglas, 28, required an operation to remove his appendix and is recovering well. He will not play against Richmond and how long he remains sidelined will become clearer in coming days.

The 2010 Crows Club Champion has displayed strong form over the past month after missing five weeks with a foot injury earlier in the season.
