From coast-to-coast team goals, to bone-crunching hits and even a game-changing smother, there’s something for everyone among this year’s contenders.

Brodie Smith’s dash from defence in Round One kicks off the first nomination. Smith runs almost half the length of Adelaide Oval to set up the easiest of goals to Charlie Cameron.

Matthew Jaensch’s huge tackle at Etihad Stadium in Round Four also led to a Crows goal, while Jake Lever set the tone against St Kilda with a massive hit in just his second game of AFL football.

An incredible take by Taylor Walker is the highlight of Play D, ultimately resulting in a major to Tom Lynch up the ground.

Defender Kyle Hartigan saved a certain goal against Carlton in Round 10 at the MCG. It was a match-defining moment for the Crows, who rebounded the ball to the opposite end for a 12-point turnaround late in the second term.

The sublime ruck skills of Sam Jacobs were on display in Round 17. His blind tap to Rory Sloane was timed to perfection and led to a regulation goal to Eddie Betts.

Taylor Walker stood tall in Adelaide’s Elimination Final against the Western Bulldogs. Tex’s pinpoint pass to Charlie Cameron was the definition of ‘team first’ and helped the Crows to a memorable win at the MCG.

Brad Crouch’s Showdown sealer took out the RAA Plays of the Year title in 2014.
