There is a new favourite to win ‘The Bachelorette’ – at least among Crows fans anyway.

Fans watching the hit Channel 10 TV show on Wednesday night might’ve spotted one of the male contestants vying for Sam Frost’s heart wearing an Adelaide beanie in the opening scene.

The man in question is Alex Cameron – a suave Englishman who has been living in Australia for the past six years.

So, just how did a Brit come to be an avid Adelaide Crows fan?

Alex learned about Australian Rules and the Crows through a group of Aussie mates, including Fox Sports presenter and South Australian-expat Tom Chadwick and his brother Sam, who Alex first met overseas years ago.

Since Alex relocated to Sydney, the football-mad boys have converted the Pom to AFL and, in particular, the Crows. Alex’s allegiance to Adelaide was confirmed when the group of mates witnessed the Club’s thrilling win over the Sydney Swans at the SCG in 2012. An accountant by day, Alex was at the SCG again this year to watch the Crows play the Swans.

It remains to be seen who The Bachelorette will choose, but Alex has certainly earned a rose from us!
