North Melbourne's Lindsay Thomas has accepted a financial santion under the new Match Review Panel system for a bump on Crows defender Matthew Jaensch during Sunday's NAB Challenge clash.

Thomas, who was the only player charged in the incident, bumped an unsuspecting Jaensch from behind during the second term of Sunday's NAB Challenge match in Port Lincoln.

The impact forced Jaensch to ground after the umpire's whistle had been blown to stop play.

Rough conduct drew a minimum base penalty of a one-match suspension in 2014, but Thomas escapes with a fine under the revised system, which was finalised at the end of last season.

The incident was classified as intentional conduct with low impact to the body, which draws an initial $1500 fine. An early plea then reduced the penalty to $1000, which Thomas accepted on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the collision involving Kangaroos midfielder Jack Ziebell and Crows utility Tom Lynch has been dismissed by the MRP.

Ziebell’s hip made contact with Lynch’s head as the former Saint tried to evade a tackle in the early stages of Sunday’s NAB Challenge clash.

The review concluded that contact was caused by circumstances outside of Ziebell’s control and he was attempting a legitimate tackle, warranting no report.

Lynch was later cleared of any serious injury and will be monitored for effects of concussion.
